Faye & Tom’s brilliantly unique Alice in Wonderland themed Wedding was held at The Abingdon Four Pillar Hotel in September last year. When I met up with Faye & Tom for their pre-wedding shoot a few months before, they told me all of their wonderful plans for the day…. I must admit to feeling a tad excited at that point!! On the day – they weren’t joking, their dream had really come true! The Theme – Alice in Wonderland and Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Wedding was brilliantly brought to life by Ruby Wedding Design. So much detail everywhere you looked, many diy projects and loads of butterflies, it was hard to know ever to start! My morning started with Faye & the bridesmaids hair preparations at the Four Pillars Hotel, before nipping off to see Tom & the boys, when the surprise VW Camper Van arrived – plus the confusion of nervous groomsmen attempting their multi-coloutred ties… After the ceremony, we took the Camper van for a short spin! To the nearby Denham College, not far from Abingdon, for a few shots of Faye & Tom in the grounds & woodland there….A perfect backdrop for their day! Back to the hotel for the guest to see the amazing Wonderland transformed Wedding breakfast room for the first time… Balloons, bunting & vivid chair sashes, added colour to the room with oversized playing cards, flamingos & chocolate rabbits dotted around the room. Each table centrepiece had been home made, sprayed twigs hung with mini teacups, crystals and stacks of Alice in Wonderland memorabilia. The party continued, the speeches were delivered & cake consumed & it was all too soon back to reality……. Oh and I just loved the table plan idea – brilliant!
