Old Luxter’s Barn Wedding Photography – Well it’s been a while since blogging last, the world is so different at the moment as we go through the Covid-19 epidemic. With all Weddings on hold for the time being, I will be looking back at a few much happier days and bring you some wonderful Wedding days through my blog. First up is Gemma & Adam’s wonderful day at beautiful Old Luxter’s Barn back in May 2018.
I had been looking forward to photographing a Wedding at the intimate Old Luxters Barn near Henley-on-Thames for ages. Having cycled many times in and around the stunning Chiltern Hills & knowing just how gorgeous the countryside is. The stunning 18th Century barn is also part of the Chiltern Valley Vineyard which is also worth a visit if you are in the area!
The day startled early at the lovely Hotel du Vin in the heart of Henley-on-Thames, for a girls morning preparations. The sun shone through the beautiful bedrooms windows the hotel has to offer, a warm day was on the cards! Arriving at Old Luxter’s Barn where Adam and the best men where busy with the final touches as the days wedding guests started to arrive & sample what was on offer in the vineyard bar!
An emotional Wedding Ceremony, was followed by Champaign & Canapés in the courtyard, in such a relaxed atmosphere. With a few family portraits complete in the gardens, Gemma & Adam had come prepared with running shoes (to walk in!). So we headed off into the woods. A short walk later revealed a beautiful Chiltern Valley countryside view, one of the reasons they had originally booked Old Luxter’s Barn for their Wedding day. Following the wedding breakfast, the cake cutting and speeches were held in the outside marquee before the night burst into funky moves and fun on the dance floor.
Such a great day, I just loved this unique warm, friendly Wedding Venue and would always recommend to any couple looking for that unique venue, set in stunning countryside. Here are few images from the day…. enjoy…
