Last summer I had the great pleasure in covering Sara & Paul’s Wedding in Cornwall. They had created their wedding day by borrowing and crafting many of the fine details, in exactly the way they wanted. So much detail in fact, it was hard to know where to start taking images! I dropped by the wedding reception venue in the morning, before I met up with Sara in the beautiful village of Blisland for her preparations. The Wedding ceremony took place at St Breward Church on Bodmin moor (possibly one of the highest churches in Cornwall on a very blustery day!). The church showed signs of all Sara & Paul’s crafting efforts with a tealights in jams lining the aisle to walk down, which was just magical. Soon it was time to depart for the reception venue. Hidden away in beautiful Cornwall countryside near Lewannick is Coombeshead, a restored traditional stone and slate barn and a real gem of an informal diy Wedding venue. I have spent quite a lot of time in this part of Cornwall, so it was extra special occasion for me to cover a Wedding here. Shame the weather let us down in the afternoon as the rain swept in! Taking opportunities when there were occasional breaks in the rain and finally the weather broke for a short while, so we could get outside and use the impressive farmhouse as the backdrop. What was a fabulous day – oh and the Cornwall cream tea – words just can’t do it justice!
Wishing Sara & Paul all the very best in the future, here is a selection of images from their Coombeshead Wedding Cornwall.

Special thanks to Sara’s Mum, her partner Doug & friends Lynda, Simon, Sarah, Will, Julie, Mark and Laura.
So lovely. The bokeh on the image of the couple advancing to the altar is breathtaking.
Thank you Nancy – shot on my favourite 85mm f1.4 lens
