Here is a lovely Wedding from a chilly Sunday last April – Joanna & Steven’s Ashmolean Museum Wedding & Cherwell Boathouse Wedding Reception in Oxford. This was also a FIRST LOOK Wedding, where I captured the couple’s first sight of each other before their Wedding Ceremony at the incredible Ashmolean Museum in Central Oxford. My day started with Joanna’s morning preparations in Littlemore, before heading over to meet Steven and his groomsmen at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel in Oxford. This was definitely a competition to see how many Wedding guests we could fit into one room, it was certainly cozy! We had planned for a while where Joanna & Steven could arrange to meet in a quiet back street of Oxford and chose Logic Lane, tucked away from the tourist areas. Such a special moment, that is normally so fleeting, but so special to them, they could enjoy the shared feeling and it was such a pleasure to capture! As the marriage ceremony was not till much later in the afternoon, after the Ashmolean Museum closes its doors to the public. We had a some time to wander the streets of Oxford and get a few images for their first hour together. The ceremony was held in the amazing Greek & Roman Sculpture gallery and afterwards a large wedding group image was organised with the help of the Ashmolean staff, on the impressive staircase in the main atrium. A few family shots followed then it was off to the Cherwell Boathouse for their Wedding reception, squashed into the smallest Wedding car I have ever seen! If your reception is by the thames, arriving in style on an Oxford Punt is a must!. Daylight was drawing to a close quickly by now and the Wedding Breakfast started promptly, speeches followed and a short Chinese Tea Ceremony before the evening entertainment struck up and the night was danced away…
A few images form Joanna & Steven’s Ashmolean museum Wedding and Cherwell boathouse Wedding reception to tell the story of their day….

Hi,
My name is Francisco and my girlfriend is Ellie. We are a Spanglish couple who met ten years ago in Granada, the city where I am from. I’m Spanish and Ellie is English from a small village called Warborough in Oxfordshire.
We met ten years ago in Granada where we lived until we moved to London three years ago. This year we are going to get married in August in St Laurence Church in Warborough and after we will celebrate it in The Crooket Billet, a beautiful pub in Stoke Row. We love the English countryside and we would like to give to the wedding a Spanish touch, good Spanish foods, music and fiesta will be offered to everyone!
I hope this is good enough as an introduction, I will be happy to share more information if you may need it. We are currently in the process of searching for a photographer, compare prices and have an idea of the potential cost of the wedding. Ideally, and depending on the costing, we would like to have photos of the whole day starting from the moment we get dressed and ready until the late night party.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Regards,
Francisco
A nice shoot. congratulations.
