Back in April this year I was so privileged to be able to cover Rebecca & Joe’s Soho Farmhouse Wedding Photography, just down the lane from me in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside. Soho Farmhouse – wow, truly stunning! A Cotswold members club, with 100 acres of rustic charm and beauty to explore with an iconic boating lake as a centre piece. You can only hold wedding ceremonies on Thursdays as the rest of the week it is open to it’s members only. What a great place to work at on a Thursday! It is always a pleasure to work alongside Mark Shipperley videographer who joined me on the day. The Wedding ceremony was quite late in the afternoon so I arrived early, settled in with a coffee and a good look around before meeting up with Rebecca & her bridesmaids in the main farmhouse on the estate. Catching up and having a laugh with the boys having a swift beer before Rebecca & her dad were taken down to the Hay Barn by horse & carriage. The bridesmaids transportation were the amazing electric milk floats that whiz around the estate. The Hay Barn is huge, decked out with hay bales for all the days guests. Following the ceremony, Rebecca & Joe were taken on a horse & carriage journey around the estate, whilst the guests moved round to the Barwell Barn. I met up again with them outside their rustic wooden lodge, before walking back to the drinks reception via the boating lake. A huge marquee was used on the back lawn for the wedding breakfast, before the evening band struck up and the evening was danced away. What a brilliant day! It was amazing to be a small part of your Wedding day…
