A little peak into a spectacular Kingston Bagpuize House Wedding from last year – the Wedding of Fiona & Rob, featuring their very own private air display!
The day started early morning for me meeting up with Fiona, the bridesmaids & her family at the iconic Bliss Tweed Mill, in my nearby town of Chipping Norton. I headed off to meet the boys in a pub near the stunning Dorchester Abbey, in Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, such an amazing location! The weather forecast had threatened on “occasional” shower, luckily this held off until just after the ceremony & confetti had been thrown, but came down with anger just as the guests arrived, at the pretty stately home of Kingston Bagpuize House in Oxfordshire. Drinks and canapés were served, the guests mingled, one or two formal group shots between the showers and then the big surprise was unveiled to the guests. Bring a long lens they said! All unaware of what was to follow as we trampled our way to the end of the grounds, away from the house, to view a spectacular individual stunt plane display! The pilot was known to the bride and groom and had agreed to fly past in the afternoon after displaying elsewhere. Well it was a bit more than a fly past! Amazing aerial acrobatics followed…. soon it was time for the wedding breakfast. The guests found their seats and I had a chance to take Fiona & Rob for a short private walk around the beautiful grounds so they could spend a little time together. Brilliant speeches and crazy dancing followed, before a few finishing shots of the couple outside the manor house (lit partially by my own car headlights) – what an amazing day!
