What an absolute pleasure it was being a part of Katherine & Mihir’s Ardington House Wedding Photography back in Autumn last year. A day contrasts, two Wedding ceremonies, 3 costume changes and some wild weather and a stunning rainbow thrown in!
Ardington House is a stunning Georgian Mansion set in rural Oxfordshire with outstanding countryside views. As an Ardington House recommended supplier I have been privileged to cover many Weddings here. Each time I visit I just have to take a moment to take in the scenery, before starting my day of capturing the events of the day as they unfold…
My day started early on a crisp Autumnal morning for Katherine & Mihir’s preparations before their small family civl ceremony in the main house, followed by a short drinks reception in the house before preparations began for the Hindu Wedding Ceremony. Mihir’s entrance to the beat of the drum was infectious and I found myself getting into the grove whilst trying to capture the fun and dance moves across the main lawn. The ceremony took place on the small Temple Island at Ardington House, however with the weather forecast being “changeable” a temporary marquee was erected in case the weather turned – and boy how it did! I certainly wont forget the mad dash after the ceremony back to the house for drinks reception part 2! With the drama came the reward – a stunning Rainbow!
Costume change 3 and we all headed for the marquee for the wedding breakfast, speeches and evening entertainment. The boys impromptu rendition of “My Girl” went down a storm followed by their first dance and the crazy guest dancing followed!
Such a fun day, here is a very small selection of images from the day, so hard to choose which images to post, enjoy…..
