We spoilt ourselves this year with 2 fantastic trips to the stunning Isles of Scilly over the summer. A trip to Bryher in May, followed by a week based on St Mary’s in August. Started & finished with a mild crossing (thankfully!) on the Scillonian this time. For the week we booked ourselves into a lovely comfy cottage in a sleepy little hideaway called Holy Vale. A good 1/2hrs walk or an entertaining bus trip into Town. The weather was stunning & there is nowhere else like Scilly- a perfect combination!
Hope you enjoy looking through a few personal & landscape images from our trip…. We have already booked again for 2017!

Day 1 – The Voyage……
A “gentle” cruise to the islands, a walk to Pelistry Bay, a visit to Holy Vale vineyard (conveniently in stumbling distance from the cottage) & a sunset on the first evening….
Day 2 – St Mary’s
Exploring St Mary’s with a walk around the Garrison, a bit of Cannon sitting & a cream tea in Juliet’s Garden…
Day 3 – St Agnes
Catching the Island bus to the morning boats and a beautiful Fete day on St Agnes, cracking sunset on the way home….
Day 4 – Seal trip & St Martins
Seal &wildlife spotting boat trip with a Sun fish the highlight & a dreamy afternoon on St Martin’s (I may have dozed off for a while on the deserted beach!)
Day 5 – Bryher
Back to my personal favourite island of Bryher on a stunning day, the sunset on the way home was not to shabby either!
Day 6 – Tresco
A grey start to a day on Tresco, our final evening and with sunsets like this you just don’t want to go home!
Day 7 – The journey home…..
Final day, enough time for a coastal walk of St Mary’s before catching the Scillonian home…
