As such a busy year draws to a close, it gives me a chance to look back & create some blogs of a few weddings I have been privileged to cover. This is Sara & James Hyde Barn Wedding from last year. My first visit to Hyde Barn, located on the Oxfordshire & Gloucestershire border, near the beautiful Cotswold town of Stowe-on-the-Wold. Sara & James grew up in the village I live, so it was just a stones throw away where I met up with Sara and her bridesmaids for their morning hair and make-up preparations with the brilliant Jules (who I have worked with many times previously). We arrived at Hyde Barn to complete the preparations before the small morning ceremony and drinks reception in the beautiful Cotswold surroundings. James had also brought along his other pride and joy a lovingly restored Triumph, proudly displayed at the entrance. An afternoon Wedding breakfast was served after the first few wedding speeches before more guests arrived for afternoon tea. It was certainly a fun and busy non stop day and we were even treated to a spectacular evening sunset over the rolling Cotswold hills in the distance as evening guests and the party started.
