Melanie & Chris’s Brasenose College Wedding, was held back in April this year, on a stunning spring day. It was folk weekend in Oxford, which was in full swing in Radcliffe Square when I arrived for the morning preparations. Brasenose College is a small & beautiful college directly opposite The Radcliffe Camera and definitely one of my favourite Colleges to cover a Wedding. The Wedding ceremony was held in the stunning chapel, just incredible to listen to the hymns being beautifully sung, with the added distance beating of drums from the street entertainment outside, made this quite a unique sound! It’s such a privileged being allowed access to the historical Colleges to photograph a Wedding, another privilege is for the drinks reception to be held on the beautifully manicured lawns of the College Quad’s, all makes for a wonderful experience for any Wedding. With the champaign & canapés flowing, I took Melanie & Chis for a short wander around Radcliffe Camera Square the nearby streets of Oxford, before an impromptu photo-op with a group of Morris Dancers. The Wedding breakfast was announced, followed by the Father of the Bride’s speech before everyone settled down to dinner. During the meal break I get a chance to wander & sit in the grounds of the college by myself, & was lucky to see such a wonderful evening sunset. My coverage ended after the final speeches where delivered but there was enough time as well to grab a few more shots with Melanie & Chris before everyone walked short distance to Oxford Town Hall for their evening reception & to dance the night away.
Here are a few images that tell the story of their day…….
