Bay Tree Hotel Wedding – Vicky & Matt

What a stunning day in the Cotswolds for Vicky & Matt’s magical wedding at The Bay Tree Hotel in Burford back in May last year!

I started with the girls preparations during the morning near Abingdon, such a fun & a relaxed atmosphere & seeing Jules make-up, is always a pleasure, although it is often hard to keep my camera still when you make me laugh so much! With a little good planning, I called in to see the boys finish off their preparations in Carterton, before meeting up with Vicky & the girls again at The Bay Tree Hotel. The Horse & Carriage arrived, the excitement grew, the rain showers stopped and it was soon off to the nearby Fulbrook church for a lovely ceremony….

 After meeting with Vick & Matt for their pre-wedding earlier in May & discussing the finer details of their Wedding day, I realised there was one shot that I desperately wanted to get! This turned out to be my fav image of the year, just for the shear effort required! Having captured them leaving Fulbrook Church, (my car was not parked very close to the church & sprinting with a heavy camera bag is not very easy!). I took a mad dash back into Burford, trying to find a place to ditch the car (never the easiest thing to do in Burford on a Saturday!), ending up parking at the Bay Tree. Then running back to the High Street (my legs were burning at this stage), only to temporarily stop the traffic so that I could get the photo below of the Horse & Carriage making its way up Burford High Street!! Such an iconic view!

All round good timing with the rain showers & we managed to get out for a quick stroll around Burford High Street & The Tolsey after the Wedding breakfast. I looked around & for the first time I had ever known there was absolutely no traffic approaching in either direction, so I asked Vicky & Matt to take a walk in the middle of the road – they must have thought I’d gone mad, but its turned out to be one of their favourite images of the day….
