Cogges Farm Museum Wedding of Faye & Jamie.
Faye & Jamie’s relaxed rustic farmyard Wedding was held at the end of May this year at the unique Cogges Farm Museum in Witney Oxfordshire. A perfect venue if you love rural life, farmyard animals and all things rustic!
My day started with Faye & the bridesmaids preparations in Witney and their VDub prep, briefly interrupted by a visit from the best man & ushers to fix their bow ties! The drive to St Mary’s Church in Cogges was only a matter of minutes and despite the odd incident along the way with the van, everyone made the Church in time! For both Faye & Jamie, Cogges holds a lot of childhood memories, both growing up in the area, so the styling the barns at Cogges & flowers was very important. In keeping with the rural, rustic theme, the bouquets were made of wheat, table centre pieces & seating plan all incorporating wheat sheaves, crafted by the talented Tracey at Distinctive Petals. St Mary’s Church is only a very short walking distance away from Cogges, so it was a wonderful sight to see Faye & Jamie lead all their guests from the church to the reception. The drinks were poured, the fiddler played, the pig roast smelt amazing and the interior of the barn looked stunning with the old carts, soft lighting, and faint cooing of dove’s in the background. Guests are free to wander round the grounds of this 17th century venue, pet the farm animals, play croquet on the laws and just chill in the surroundings. After a few family group shots were done, it was time to serve the food, drink more and listen to the speeches. The evening entertainment kicked off and all to soon day was almost over….
