A couple of days before Christmas last year and it was a short trip over into Gloucestershire for Kayleigh & Davids Winter Wedding at Crips Stone Barn, near Aldsworth. The Stone Barn nestles in open countryside, with a very cosy atmosphere, perfect for hosting a Winter Wedding reception, especially with the huge indoor barbecues on full blast! My coverage started before the guests arrived on a blustery and wet winters day. The very talented AGS Connolly, from my very own village, provided the welcome music as guests arrived. With a candlelit ceremony and relaxing drinks reception to follow, the smell of the barbecue food being cooked filled the whole barn. Just as it was time to be seated for the Wedding breakfast, the sky cleared to reveal an amazing burst of colour and the barn was bathed in dramatic evening light. Outside we had a very strong cross wind, but we managed to find a few “outside / inside” sunset images through the large glass barn doors. What a way to finish off my year, played out by a fantastic local band – Breeze!
