October last year and I had the pleasure of covering Laura & Rob’s Rhodes House Wedding in central Oxford. I had been looking forward to their Wedding for ages, after talking about all their plans at the pre-wedding session earlier in the year, where we created A Charlbury Train Station Love Story…. To fit in with their rail travel and cycling theme. Laura and Rob had been getting creative with all their details in styling their Wedding day exactly how they wanted. The invites, save the dates & order of service were designed by Laura & Rob. Caitriona, the chief bridesmaid designed & printed table signs in the style of old railway signs and the place name cards were ‘reserved’ tickets you get on the trains. Wine was sourced and an epic road journey insued for it’s collection. Rob is a keen cyclist (living in Oxford this is a pre-requisite) and a fan of Bianchi Bikes, so the grooms men sock, bridesmaids dresses etc had to be Bianchi Green or (Celeste). Laura arrived at the incredible setting of The Oxford Oratory in fairytale style, by Horse & Carriage. Following the ceremony and after a short journey to Rhodes House, the drinks reception was held in the historic and beautiful surroundings of this Oxford Wedding venue. The weather was kind to us as well, athough not exactly warm, but it stayed dry throughout to get a few images in the beautiful gardens of Rhodes House. The evening dancing was headed up by Laura (bridesmaid), as the lead singer of Silverstar Cotswold Covers Band. Rhodes House
