Christ Church Oxford Wedding Photography

Saturday 25th August 2012:

Tara & Robert’s had booked me to photograph their Christ Church Oxford Wedding photography well in advance, as the end of August as is always one of the most popular dates in my diary. This soon came around as I just couldn’t believe how quickly 2012 was passing me by! I arrived at Tara’s house in the morning to capture the final stage of preparations (I have never seen shoes like Tara’s before!), before making my way to their local church of St. Swithun’s in Kennington, Oxford. One of my favourite images of 2012 was captured as Tara entered the church, after all the preparation, planning, emotion & nerves her expression tells the whole story! Sadly I was not allowed to capture any of the ceremony happening and after a brief “English summer pause” to allow the rain to stop, we could begin the celebrations. I followed closely behind Tara & Robert to Christ Church, Oxford, (Robert being allowed to drive their Subaru to the reception because it was the correct colour for their day), so that I could get a few shots of them before all the guests arrived. Soon afterward the weather broke with a huge downpour, such as shame that we couldn’t utilise many outdoor areas of Christ Church extensive grounds. But the Wedding breakfast set in to magnificent splendour of Christ Church dining hall made up for this & we managed to get some extra images after dinner, before the evening partying began to the fabulous OrtoPilot. Such a lovely couple, I really did enjoy being a small part of your beautiful Wedding Day.

Here are also a few images from Tara & Robert’s pre-wedding photo-shoot in Oxford.
