Saturday 6th June:
What a fabulous weekend, it was great to be back down in Cornwall at the weekend, visiting family and covering Catherine & Mark’s Wedding at the lovely St Genny’s Church, near Crackington Haven, with the following Wedding reception at Bangors Organic Restaurant at Poundstock, near Bude in North Cornwall. Crackington Haven has got to be one of my top five locations in Cornwall, I just love the beach, walks, scenery & everything about Crackington having visited many time for my FineArt landscape photography. It was such a joy to be able to cover a Wedding here.
It was just unfortunate that the weather decided not to behave… it was just awful for most of the day! Thankfully there were portions of the day when the rain eased so that we could enjoy the magnificent views of the North Cornwall coastline from the churchyard & the beautiful gardens of Bangors. Still the weather didn’t dampen anyone’s enjoyment of the day. Catherine & Mark had the most unusual and lovely hand carved rings made from the same piece of aged Oak, which I have featured in a selective colour photo only to highlight & distinguish them in the photo. Catherine originates from London, so there was only one form of transport needed on the day – a London Black Cab! On route to Bangors restaurant, we did sneak down to the beach at Crackington Haven, not even being put off by the bather getting changed on the beach!! Catherine & Mark took the opportunity for a swift half in the Coombe Barton Inn on the beach front as this was a regularly visited place! I can understand why as the sunsets are spectacular from there! Then finally heading off to the reception at the lovely Bangors Organic Restaurant for afternoon tea and a Hog Roast. Well done to Catherine & Mark who braved the weather and were determined to go outside regardless…. Here are just a few shots from the day.
